How to use the mybtf portal

How to Access the portal

Please reach out to jenavb@luthercrest.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

From the home page, click on "My Account", and in the dropdown menu, select "Create an Account". Follow the steps to get all set up!


Your church has received a specialized link that will not be visible from the main log-in page or home page. You will need to type it in, or click on the link provided to you. Type in or click on the link provided to you from Kathryn or Jena.  


Make sure that if you have multiple people creating accounts for one church link, that you contact Jena in order to grant each account access. Otherwise, those creating new accounts won't have access quite yet.


If you have clicked your personalized link and you aren't already logged in, the page will prompt you to sign in. Once signed in, you should be able to see your page!


Once you are successfully logged in and you use your specialized link, you should be good to go! Enjoy the materials!


Portal troubleshooting

Question: I have an account, but it's not letting me access the link provided to us.

  1. First, ensure that you are logged in. If not, log in to your account. IF you do not have an account, create an account from the home page using the above steps.
  2. If you have an account and are logged in, use the specialized link provided to your church. This will not be visible from the home page. 
  3. If you are logged in and are using the link provided to you and still do not have access, that means that your account does not have access. To receive access, contact your church leader (who provided you with the link to the page) to get your account the access that it needs. You can also reach out to jenavb@luthercrest.org to get connected.

Question: I can't find our church webpage in navigation. Where can I find it?

  1. You will not be able to find your church page from the Home Page of the website. This is because your church was given a special (super-secret!) link that only your church can access. Reach out to your main church contact (example, if you are a Sunday School Teacher, reach out to the person who normally gives you the curriculum to teach or your pastor) and they should have received a special link. They can distribute this to you.
  2. If you are still having issues after reaching out to your main church contact, reach out to Jena at jenavb@luthercrest.org to retrieve your link.

Question: I don't know what our church link is. How do I access our page?

How to utilize the content provided

Content is uploaded the week prior. This allows for some time to review and distribute material as needed to your Sunday school teachers, Faith Formation Leaders, and others as needed.


When hovering over the files in the portal, to the right will be a "Download" option to click. Once you click this, the file should be downloaded to your computer in your local Downloads folder. If you get a pop-up that asks, "Do you want to allow downloads from www.mybtf.org?" select "yes", and it should allow you do download all available content after.


Yes! You are able to use these resources however it fits your congregation best. Please let us know if there are ways that we can make this content better to improve your experience with it.
